Edvard Munch

Edvard Munch (1863 – 1944) was a Norwegian painter. He was influenced by the nihilist Hans Jæger who urged him to paint his own emotional and psychological state. He later embarked on a series of paintings he called The Frieze of Life, depicting themes such as love, anxiety, jealousy and betrayal
